Summer Feeding Program

One True Light Summer Food and Fun program began in 2012 and offers free breakfast and lunch for Duncan children ages 0 to 18. Many children rely on free or reduced meals during the school year and our meal program aims to help alleviate food insecurity during the summer months.
​
Distribution sites across Duncan take many forms. We partner with churches, the City of Duncan for use of park facilities, and have also used outdoor school facilities. We have a stay and play option at a local apartment complex. We are always looking for sites which will allow us to feed as many children as possible.

Mentor Program

​
One True Light Mentoring Initiative is a school based mentoring program placing volunteers in Duncan Public Schools for the purpose of building one-on-one relationships with students. We now have mentors placed in ALL Duncan Public School facilities (With the exception of pre-school programs.)
​
Currently, over 70 local volunteers are trained to act as mentors. Mentors receive quality training and ongoing support from our staff to assist them in helping students claim education and personal success as a goal.
